Wei-wen is a board-certified dermatologist and pathologist from Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, Taiwan. After graduated from Kaohsiung Medical University, she completed residency training in pathology (4 years) and dermatology (4.5 years), and got board certifications of both pathology and dermatology in 2013 and 2018, respectively. As a dermatopathologist, Wei-wen is specialized in interpretation of tissue sections from skin biopsy samples and making clinicopathological correlations among various skin diseases, including neoplastic disorders and inflammatory dermatoses. Wei-wen is very excited to have the opportunity to work on Hidradenitis Suppurativa project in the Lu lab, and hope that her expertise in dermatopathology and experiences in clinical practice could be a great addition to the team and to bridge the basic research and the translation medicine.
